The POCO F1 Android 10 update based on MIUI 11 has been released and is rolling out for users in India. This is the second Android 10 rollout for the POCO F1 after the first rollout in January 2020 was pulled back due to the presence of too many bugs in the firmware. Xiaomi has seemingly managed to fix the bugs that were a part of the initial update, and the new stable Android 10 update also brings the February security patch along with it. The POCO F1 Android 10 update is fairly sizeable, measuring 1.9GB, and will be available for all users to download as an automatic over the air update. For users who had already downloaded the initial Android 10 update made available earlier this year, this update will bring much-required bug fixes and the security patch.

POCO F1 Android 10 update features

The Android 10-based MIUI 11 update for POCO F1 brings features like new icon packs, a more refined always-on display format and system animations, new themes and wallpapers, the new Mi Lan Pro system font, a more organised notifications panel, and most importantly, and enhanced system-wide dark mode. It also gets better control of gestures, and gets all the new features that are proprietary to the MIUI 11 custom ROM. With MIUI 11, the POCO F1 now gets its dynamic sounds and alerts, and a Mi Go Travel suite that offers a one-stop interface to browse ticket bookings for trains, flights and even roadways.

How to download Android 10 update for POCO F1

MIUI 11 with Android 10 update for POCO F1 should be rolled out as an automatic update pushed over the air. To get this, ensure that automatic updates are turned on for your phone. However, if you still did not get the update, you can either choose to wait for a couple of days since many of these updates are often rolled out in phases, or choose to go about it manually. For the manual process, users can click on this link to download the MIUI 11 global ROM version to their desktops, connect their phones to the system via USB, copy the update to the device, disconnect the phone and then access system settings and initiate the update from there.
The POCO F1 was launched as a flagship disruptor back in 2018, and offered flagship-grade performance at a far lower price point than the competition. However, the company has since remained rather quite, and its return, with the POCO X2, was that of a mid-premium range smartphone and not a flagship one. POCO has confirmed the POCO X2 will also get updated to Android 10, although a timeline has not been shared yet.
